Welcome

Welcome to my portfoliosite. My name is Brenda Hellenthal.

In the schoolyear 2000-2001 I attended the preparatory training of the Acadamy of Arts in Kampen. After the training I passed the entrance examination but had to wait my attending until I had finished my last year of the Atheneum.
That last year I went to the introduction day of the HKU and fell in love with the diversity and practicallity of what they taught there. Being artsy was nice, but doing something useful for society (and the promise of a job) made me choose the study Interaction Design at the HKU instead of Kampen.

In my second year at the HKU I chose the path of technology above design and content management. I saw it as a challenge.
In the third year I wrote my paper about the effect digital communication has on the way of communicating and I followed a course of four psychology classes at the University of Twente. I did my internship at Brevidius, a small company that explores and develops the use of video on the internet.
My thesis was about weblogs and how people leave and form impressions through that medium.

In August 2006 I have finished my study Interaction Design via the EMMA (European Media Master of Arts) program.
I'm involved in a long term relationship and my hobbies include drawing, reading, fantasy and live action roleplay. A little bit more about me can be found on my website.
